DJ ASSAULT

Mess.U (Vice, Bounce!)
The king of the booty, DJ Assault’s name has become synonymous with the low down get dumb and ghetto tech bass scene coming from Detroit. Famed for it’s techno output, DJ Assault took the blue print for Detroit’s electronic musical heritage and twisted it to become the foul mouthed and funked up bastard son that is booty bass. Alongside DJ Funk and DJ Godfather, Craig Adams has toured the world making asses shake and speakers quake with his fast and frenzied cut up style. Combining hip hop skills and bravado with the subtle nuances of techno is a combination that has rocked dancefloors internationally and continues to set clubs off with more energy in one night than most DJs can muster in an entire year.
DJing and producing since 1982, DJ Assault truly came to prominence when he launched his own Jefferson Avenue record label which produced the much lauded album of the same name in 2001. Featuring such wholesome dittys as ‘Ass N Titties’, ‘Nipples & Clits’ and ‘Yo Relatives’, this is an album that has kept dance floors sweaty for 7 years and still counting with it’s dirty beats and dirtier lyrics. Remixes offers for anyone worth their salt have come his way but he has been very selective and limited his output to projects he believes in, rather than what pays the most. No artist defines an independent scene in the same way DJ Assault does. Not only is he the originator but he remains the best as well.
