With the tender age of only 13 Mike had his debut in performing as DJ. Contemporary artists, specifically, pop groups like Depeche Mode and Human League as well as hip hop bands like EPMD and 2 live Crew, to just name a few, became his idols. They would lead Mike into the fascinating universe of music, opening up the entire spectrum of the unlimited dimensions of electronic music to his creative exploration. At the same time the popularity of CDs sky-rocketed, gradually leading to an increase of the good old vinyl records no longer being readily available in music stores, at least not in their previous wide range. To express his sincere dissatisfaction Mike immediately started to call himself Mike Vinyl, as a protest against this trend. Mikes first encounter with Techno was in the early 90s but it was not until 1993 that it showed its full impact on his artistic life. He reached his personal peak in the mid to late 90s when his career as DJ took off with a blast. Following the public release of Mikes Mixcompilation in 1997, originally produced for XXX, he became a local techno sound protagonist, performing in clubs all over Europe throughout the late 90s, regarded by many as an icon in the local techno scene. During this time he had an engagement as resident DJ in one of Austrias most renowned clubs, NOVA, besides performing as resident DJ in the notoriously infamous Ambassada Gavoli Club in Slovenia.

At the beginning of the new millennium, Mikes brilliant career as DJ was suddenly overshadowed by a most dramatic event. Following an extremely busy weekend with gigs in Hungary, Slovenia and Austria, he was overcome by a debilitating ear disorder, known as Tinnitus. Although Mikes health improved considerably over the time he was not able to achieve full recovery from the subsequent damage caused by this horrific struck of misfortune. Still keeping up with prior commitments with DJ gigs in both Austria and abroad, Mike is now focusing on his media creation Injection, a web based platform for musical performance and associated projects. Time has come long ago that Mikes own compositions finally make their way from his studio onto international turntables and straight into the hearts of devoted lovers of avant-garde music. After all these years, due to Mikes committed devotion to, strong passion and boundless love for music, he has been and always will be a true frontiersman for musical creativity a freak like this is hard to find in our days.
