Am 4.5. präsentiert euch der ELECTRO SWING CARNEVAL einen Ohrenschmaus der Sonderklasse:
Es beehren uns, erstmals in Wien,THE SWEET LIFE SOCIETY aus Turin.
Gerade auf Europa Tournee werden sie im Café Leopold ihren einmaligen Mix aus elektronischen Grooves und einer live Brass Section (Trompete und Saxophon) darbieten, bevor es weitergeht u.a. zur SECRET GARDEN PARTY in Großbritannien und dem SLAP! FESTIVAL in Spanien.

Ebenfalls eine Premiere bei unserem Event wird der Auftritt von DJ LALIPS werden. Der Resident DJ der legendären VILLA CHROM Veranstaltungsreihe, sowie Mitbegründer der nicht weniger legendären RESET CREW, wird mit einem handverlesenen Set aus Swing House die Tanzfläche versorgen.

Für das stilsichere Warmup sorgt wie immer ELECTRO SWING CARNEVAL Host und Resident DJ ADISH, um den Augenschmaus kümmert sich unser Visualist HERR NIE DA.

Im Electro Tanz Café sorgt DR. ASCHENGOLD, der regelmässig auf den BASTARD POP ART Parties zu hören ist, mit Mad Disco Edits & Funky Grooves für ausgelassene Stimmung. Tatkräftige Unterstützung bekommt er wieder von SID DATA, seines Zeichens Mitbegründer des ELECTRO SWING CARNEVAL und Betreiber des hippen Harvest-Bistrots in der Wiener Leopoldstadt.

THE SWEET LIFE SOCIETY:
The creaking sound of old school vinyl is not enough for the eccentric band “The Sweet Life Society”; the talented group that mix contemporary tunes with old school “Cotton Club”, re-styling the “Swing Music Culture” into a mix of electronic sounds, while also adding the performance of live instruments from the best “Torinese” Jazz scene.
The two producers of this new music project - Gabriele Concas and Matteo Marini - perform live accompanied by an eclectic ensemble made up live singing and scratching, manouche guitar and wind instruments such as a trumpet, sax and clarinet.
In 2010 they published "Dibilidong" appears for courtesy of the french label Wagram, in the prestigious Electro Swing compilation, furthermore the track appears on "Happy electro swing jazz year", a compilation edit by Rambling Records for the japanese and korean market.
After the released of the 7" inches "Bam Bam" with Resense in 2011, they bring out their first single for the italian market "My Sound", with very special guests "Le Sorelle Marinetti".
They have been touring in the last 2 years all over Europe, and they are now working on their first album, produced by BMG, that will be released in 2013.

DJ ADISH:
DJ Adish - Host und Resident DJ des legendären ELECTRO SWING CARNEVAL, der monatlich im Cafe Leopold in Wien stattfindet - ist seit Mitte der Neunziger hinter den Plattentellern namhafter Clubs in Wien anzutreffen. Er verfügt über eine enorme musikalische Bandbreite und liebt es genreübergreifende Sets zu spielen. Frei nach dem Motto "All for the love of Music!" vereint er gekonnt musikalische Vielfalt in tanzbare Sets.
DJ Adish ist aber auch als Musikproduzent und Remixer tätig. Im letzten Jahr vor allem für die New Yorker Band Balkan Beat Box und den italienischen Groove Experten DJ Farrapo. Aktuelle Releases sind auf dem prestigeträchtigen Label Agogo Records, sowie Electrofone Music aus Los Angeles zu finden.

LALIPS:
Lalips started mixing tracks in 1994. On his music journey he travelled thru different styles of electronic music always open minded to serve the full bandwith of great tunes. With DJ sets Lalips visited many known and unknown party locations in Austria and abroad. Currently Lalips is resident DJ at the Villa Chrom party series and host of the teaser radio show on play.fm. Since 2012 Lalips is also DJ member of the Electro Swing Carneval Crew, serving electro lifted swing music.


DR. ASCHENGOLD:
As a child of the glorious sixties, our little doctor was heavily influenced by Stevie Wonder, soul, philly sound and then, of course, disco! But since he also enjoyed listening to pop, new wave and mostly jazz, he ultimately developed a taste that you might call eclectic, if this wouldn't sound so posh, so let's call it freestyle. Bored to death from way to much deep and minimal tech house music, he finds the new disco / slomo disco tunes refreshing and exciting. So there he goes, somehow back to the roots (yeah!) and playing disco edits at parties where people meet to have a good time and fun instead of just looking cool.


SID DATA:
Als Resident-Dj und langjähriger Programmator des legendären Ost-Klubs, Inventor und Mitveranstalter von kulturell grenzüberschreitenden Party und Konzertreihen wie Barcelona Sessions, Klub Shwing (Wiens erster Electro-Swing Club), Soulkitchen Vienna, Gypsyfuncmashine-Soundsystems, Electro Tanz Café und seit neuestem Betreiber des hippen veganen Harvest-Bistrots in der Wiener Leopoldstadt, kann er nicht als unterbeschäftigt gelten. Trotzdem findet der Freigeist , Philantrop und Hedonist noch Zeit für sein Steckenpferd, die Musik.
Als DJ Sid Data ist er immer auf der Suche nach musikalischen Verbindungen zwischen den Kulturen, in seinen Mixen reist man auf Sound-Wellen mit Klezmermusikern, Arabischen Groovern, Russischen Rumbatänzern und irisch klingenden Flamenco Gitanos im Electro-Gypsycaravan um die Welt.
