Born in Poland, Ela Orleans attended Music and Art School. She left for Glasgow where she became member of Hassle Hound. They released a record on Staubgold, picked by John Peel for BBC1. In 2004 she moved to NYC, played with Jackie O Motherfucker and Kevin Shea (among others) then started releasing amazing solo works. Almost all of her releases sold out and caught the attention of the indie press (especially the split with her friends Dirty Beaches, US Girls and Slim Twig). Relocated in Glasgow she just released „Tumult in Clouds“ on Clan Destine records
