Leap Vs. Sturz

When Vera first entered a techno club in Frankfurt in 1993, she found exactly what she had been looking for. After spending almost 7 years on the dancefloor, she started buying records. Roman Flügel from Alter Ego was one of the first, who invited her to play at Robert Johnson in 2003 and soon after she became Resident DJ at Robert Johnson, one of Europes most respected and authentic clubs. Vera stands for sophisticated, deep, electronic dance music, somewhere between deephouse and techno. She has started to work on her own definition of house music – bridging classic house with new influences.
First introduced to house and techno more than ten years ago in New York City, Rebekah Aff immediately immersed herself in the close-knit techno scene. Inspired by the energy of the parties she was attending, she purchased her own set of turntables and began Djing regularly at Galapagos in Brooklyn and Canal 59, in the Chinatown area of Manhattan. Through these residencies Rebekah was able to meet and play alongside Magda, Dinky, Troy Pierce, and other influential DJs residing in New York at that time. Rebekah relocated to Berlin in January 2004, in search of affordable rent, fewer restrictions, and a larger music community. Soon after her arrival she began playing regularly at the city's infamous BEATSTREET parties, at the same time securing a summer residency at the notorious and revered Club der Visionaere. Over time Club der Visionaere has proven to be Rebekah's most inspirational practice ground due to regularly playing multi-hour sets for an intimate sea of hungry listeners.
