Fürstenwalde, a provincial town in East-Germany with 30 000 inhabitants. Amongst which Marcel Dettmann, Marcel Fengler and Patrick Gräser, aka Answer Code Request. It comes as no surprise that when ACR released his first EP in 2011 the internet was buzzing with excitement over what surely must be a new alias of Dettmann or Shed. Uncomfortably familiar, like when your life-long partner suddenly whips out a whole range of new moves. Creeping synthesizers, funky percussion straight from the abyss and a hint of UK bass music. When the dust settled and the identity was revealed to be of an unknown producer by the name of Patrick Gräser it suddenly went very very fast for Patrick. Resident DJ of the Berghain, internationally acclaimed artist, a godlike RA podcast and releases both on Ostgut Ton and Marcel Dettmann’s MDR. In one year.
